This is
hardly a recipe as chia jam is so easy to make and only requires a
few ingredients, but I will share it anyway for inspiration - a couple of months ago I had never thought of using chia seeds to make my own healthy jam and there might be others out there who hasn't thought of it either, so here we go! :)
You can use whatever berries you have available, this time I choose to use raspberries and it turned out so good – sweet, but still a little sour as well.

I like to use
my chia jam as regular jam on bread, as a layer in parfaits, I add it to my
smoothies for extra flavor and texture, mix it in my skyr/yoghurt etc.
Ingredients:
2 cups of
raspberries (frozen works fine)
2 tblsp
chia seeds
¼ cup water
Sweetener
of choice, I used a little honey – optional
Directions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and mash the raspberries with a fork
- Put in a glass jar or container of choice and leave in the fridge for at least an hour to allow the mixture to thicken. It should last up to two weeks in the fridge.
- Enjoy!
Fantastic recipe. I'll be trying that soon
